It was a double celebration for Champion Motors as it opened its new showroom at Automobile Megamart and launched the new Suzuki S-Cross as well as the SOLIO.

Champion Motors officially opened its new showroom at Automobile Megamart, along the second automotive belt in Singapore and the move is seen as a return to Champion Motors' former premises to better serve its customers and the public.

At the same time, the official distributor of Suzuki vehicles also seized the opportunity to launch two new models - the Suzuki S-Cross urban crossover and the Suzuki SOLIO compact MPV.

Suzuki S-Cross

The styling concept for Suzuki's first crossover in the C-segment is 'bold and dynamic'. The overall impression of the S-Cross is of emotion, quality and an aerodynamic body that is synonymous with true active sportiness.

More importantly, the S-Cross features the world's first double sliding panoramic sunroof. Implementing the world's first system in which the rear glass panel slides into the roof, it creates one of the biggest openings with dimensions of 800mm (opening width) by 560mm (opening length) for a sunroof in a vehicle of this class.

Powering the new S-Cross is a new 1.6-litre petrol engine with 118bhp and 151Nm of torque, now more powerful and efficient thanks to a newly adopted variable intake valve system, an improved exhaust and cooling system as well as a new engine mounting system. 

The all new S-Cross not only provides a powerful driving performance but is also more environmentally-friendly due to its superior fuel efficiency of 17.2km/L and 16.13km/L (2WD and 4WD respectively) as well as lower CO₂ emissions of 137g/km and 146g/km (2WD and 4WD respectively).

Suzuki SOLIO

The all new SOLIO's key fundamental attributes are its light and compact body, emotionally appealing styling, dynamic performance and superb handling. With the all new SOLIO, driving a compact car does not mean having to settle for less.

The key feature of the all new SOLIO is the dual power sliding doors with opening dimensions of 1,230mm (height) by 580mm (width) on both sides. This convenient feature is usually found in premium MPVs and enables passengers to enter and exit with ease.

Equipped with a lively 1.2-litre engine rated at 67bhp and 118Nm of torque, coupled with the smooth and seamless CVT transmission, the SOLIO delivers impressively low fuel consumption of 18.87km/L and CO₂ emissions of 127g/km, proving that a car can be designed smaller and more energy-efficient, yet offering a responsive and energetic driving experience.
